NHES provides educational sessions for children and young people between the ages of 8 to 18 years throughout the school academic year. These activities are held at Djanogly City Academy on the weekends. The NHES works in collaboration with local delivery partners which include the University of Nottingham and Trent University who provide volunteers to help deliver the project activities. We aim to:
Support young people across the National Curriculum, to study English, Maths and Science. These interventions will enhance current achievement & develop positive working relationships between the school and the home.
Each session is carefully planned to help young people reach their true potential, choose right career paths and be assertive. Our students become good moral citizens.
Physical sports sessions are part of our programme to help children and young people to participate in a range of sporting activities. Many go on to specialise in their selected sports at local clubs. This leads to improved alertness, increased energy and improved performance in education.
Over the summer school holidays, we deliver education and health activities for families, these include:
English & Maths workshops to enhance education attainment.
Art & Craft and Drama sessions to enhance team building and discover individual hidden skills.
Health awareness workshops to promote healthy living and increased awareness of a balanced diet.
Sports sessions & tournaments in athletics, badminton, football and cricket.
We organise family events to celebrate different cultures.
